REASON CLUB
AT HAWAII PACIFIC UNIVERSITY

Stuart K. Hayashi's UPDATE from Saturday, September 10, 2005: This is an old website. The contents below are outdated; I have not updated them since the year 2000. The Reason Club of Hawaii Pacific University still exists and it still promotes free markets, civil liberties, limited government, and the philosophic insights of Ayn Rand. However, if you wish to join, the information below concerning memberships, meeting schedules, and meeting locations is no longer up-to-date or completely reliable. For updated information on the club's whereabouts, e-mail Stuart at radical_individualist@hotmail.com .

Welcome to the new, updated home page of the Hawaii Pacific University Reason Club. This is a philosophical and political discussion group, which meets every Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Ground Zero Cafe at:

35 S. Beretania Ave (across from Kukui Plaza)
Honolulu, HI 96817

[UPDATE from Sunday, September 11, 2005: the cafe has moved away from the address listed above. Here is its new location, still at Fort Street Mall. Please bear in mind that the cafe had its present name since 1998 or earlier.

Cafe Ground Zero (adjacent to Subway Sandwiches)
73 S. Pauahi St.
Honolulu, HI 96813]

The Reason Club is composed mostly of students who are interested in discussing and promoting the concept of free-market economics and of limited government. In addition, the organization encourages members to study the principles of Objectivism, the philosophy of Ayn Rand. Though this club's officers tend to be of similar ideological persuasions, the club is open to anyone of any age who would like to civilly discuss broad social issues.

Here are some of our current members:

Stuart K. Hayashi, President
Titus Park, Treasurer
Eric Bolosan

Advisor: Ken Schoolland, author of The Adventures of Jonathan Gullible: A Free Market Odyssey, and professor of economics and political science at Hawaii Pacific University
